The Ampomaah Hotel is a decent budget option, with a comfortable bed and a spacious washroom. There were mosquitoes in my room during my visit, though, and the restaurant wasn’t operating. I think addressing those issues could make the hotel a much better place for guests.

I’ve stayed here three times. The location is nice and quiet, and customer service has been okay. The first room was comfortable, but the AC leaked in both the second and third rooms. In the second, the AC remote had no battery, so I had to use the TV remote, and there was no towel, though luckily I brought one. In the third room the AC also made noise, so I couldn’t sleep properly. Breakfast was a letdown: there were eggshells and what looked like small stones or sand in the omelette, the bread wasn’t toasted, and the sausage was tasteless, like it had been in the fridge too long. I also had to pay a delivery fee to have the food brought to my room in the same hotel. The sheets look and feel old and need changing.

The staff were polite, and I got free WiFi during my stay. The restaurant food was okay, though I’ve had better. My room’s mini fridge didn’t work. On the second day, the power went out in my wing, and staff only noticed after I went downstairs to let them know. They fixed it in about half an hour.
