Embassy Gardens

We had a ground floor unit with a lovely patio facing the pool and restaurant area, and the apartment looked very attractive. But two problems overwhelmed that positive: the WiFi and a serious cockroach infestation. Embassy Gardens has a desirable location and potential, but reliable internet and proper pest control are basic needs. The internet was practically unusable for most of the stay. It had been a recurring issue on our previous two visits, but this time was much worse. Neither my guests nor I could reliably connect phones, stream Netflix or YouTube, or do basic things online. We contacted the host repeatedly and were told someone would come. After a long wait and another follow up, we were told someone had already been sent, though nobody had come. The connection finally worked late one evening for a few hours, then failed the next day. Maintenance came while I was out and told my guest they were there about the internet. They said they needed to go buy something and would return, but never came back, and the host didn’t contact us again. Aside from that brief spell late at night, we had little to no usable internet and relied on our own mobile data. The cockroaches were everywhere in the unit, including kitchen counters, the sink area, living spaces, and bedrooms. Moving shoes, bags, or other things made them scatter. We couldn’t leave food out, so had to keep it in the fridge, microwave, or raised containers to avoid contamination. While packing, I even found one going into my suitcase, so I unpacked and checked all my belongings carefully once I got home. I hope management takes this seriously.
