The food was good, though service was very slow. One dish never arrived, even by the time we finished eating. Because of the delay, I asked if it could just be brought to the room. The next day they said I had to pay for room service, even though I hadn’t ordered room service. I’d only made that request because the kitchen was taking so long. There were billing problems as well. I was first overcharged $100 on my card. Staff admitted the mistake but initially offered food credit as the only option. I refused and asked for a manager, who promptly refunded me without trouble. Later, I got a call saying I still owed $8, which made things more confusing. Nothing was complimentary. The room was clean and staff were generally polite and accommodating. We did find a small roach in the refrigerator, which was concerning. The hotel and staff were clean and quick overall, and the stay was acceptable apart from that. Main downsides were the inconsistent billing, slow food service, unexpected charges and minor pest issue.

I first stayed at this boutique hotel on my second trip to Accra, after visiting from 2013 onward, and it became my preferred place on later visits over the years. As a vegetarian, I appreciated that they had a cook who could make excellent vegetarian Indian food. The rooms are big and comfortable, too. I met the owner during one stay, and he kindly gave me a discount on the room rate during my visits. I couldn’t stay there on my last trip to Accra in June 2023 because of budget constraints.

Over the past 13 years, I’ve had the privilege of staying at this hotel in Accra many times. The hospitality and service have been my best experience through all those years. As a South Indian, having vegetarian food available throughout my time in Ghana was a major advantage. Lately the room prices have gone beyond my budget, and I couldn’t afford to stay on my last two visits.
