The room itself was comfortable, but a lot of the little things that make a stay work were missing. There was no internet until the receptionist gave me a different box, and there was no soap or shower gel. On the first two mornings, nobody was there to open the gate. It felt like they were short staffed, and the receptionist shouldn’t have to cover security, or the other way around. The place could be excellent if the owner didn’t seem to be cutting costs so visibly. There’s no receptionist at night, so the security guy takes over. He was extremely rude, and if you need to leave early in the morning, you may find the gate locked. My room also went uncleaned for four days, despite me asking twice. What’s in the photo is unacceptable. And then, at 9pm, the security guy knocked on my door to replace the internet router. That was the cherry on top.

The food was fresh and so tasty, and everything was clean. The staff were great, helpful and polite. Big thanks to everyone at the hotel. My stay felt one of a kind, and I’d definitely recommend it. 👍🙏

Someone has clearly put a lot into making this look like a great place, which makes it a shame that the first person customers meet can put them off. I booked by phone a day ahead and asked to check in at noon. Work delayed me, so I arrived at 1:45. Evelyn at reception said she’d given my room away because I hadn’t answered her call. When I asked why a booked room would be handed to someone else, she kept saying people sometimes don’t show up. She stood with her arms crossed and rolled her eyes. I asked why she was getting angry, and she said, “If I was angry, I wouldn’t even talk to you.” When I asked whether the room was going to me after all or to someone else, she told me, “You can go.” I asked her name, but she refused to give it, with her arms folded and eyes rolling again.

The booking showed $55, but I was charged $60. There was no Wi-Fi, and after I’d booked, I had to wait an hour in reception while they fixed the room’s AC. I tried to negotiate and was told I could pay $50. I handed over a $100 note, and she gave me $40 back, saying she’d agreed to $50 a night because she thought I was staying two days. I’d already made clear it was just one day, but I was still charged $60 instead of the $55 listed on bookings. A terrible experience.
