We had a great time at the accommodation with my two kids, and the apartment staff were all polite and helpful. My problem was the host for room 1201, whom I booked through Agoda. She's a third party, and her manner on the phone was condescending, rude, flippant, and dismissive when there was confusion about breakfast. I had no trouble paying the bill, but the way she spoke to me was unacceptable. I wouldn't book with her again. You could try another booking site for the same accommodation, though she might be using those too as a third party. We arrived late the night before, and check-in was delayed because she hadn't sent the staff our information. They tried calling her for a while before she responded. Nobody explained the breakfast arrangement at check-in, even though breakfast was advertised. I later learned her breakfast was dry bread in the fridge. That would have been fine if someone had explained it, as reputable hosts do. When I asked security where to find breakfast, they directed me to the rooftop, so I misunderstood. The manager called her, and her first response was to ask where in the world you can just walk into a restaurant and have breakfast. That's no way to speak to a guest. Afterwards, we stayed at signature apartments, where our host, also a third party, was there at check-in, showed us the room, and explained the breakfast policy. That made me even more convinced that the host at Kass was intolerant and unnecessarily rude because she hadn't done her job properly. Hosting isn't for her.
