St Mary's at hills guest house

The place was filthy, with dirty floors, broken furniture, a missing washroom door lock, a TV that didn't work, and mosquitoes everywhere. I wish I could post pictures. A worker tried to intimidate and bully me into paying the full price even though I hadn't stayed a night. He wasn't getting the full amount from me. It's so nasty I wouldn't take my dog there.

The rooms were clean and nice, and both the WiFi and generator worked really well. I never regretted booking here. The one thing that bothered me was not being able to use the shower. They should pump enough water upstairs.

There was dust everywhere, and the bed was a box spring with foam under a sheet, passed off as a mattress. I found a wall locker with other people's clothes inside. Some rooms had weak water pressure, the beds had no white sheets or comforters, and there was no ventilation in the halls. When the power went out, the generator didn't start automatically. The young staff wouldn't turn it on unless they thought you were there, so food in the fridge was spoiling. I see new photos, so I'll come back on my next trip and reassess this rating.

They're still new to the business and have some things to improve. I couldn't get on the wireless, and had to keep asking for things like a kettle and towel that should have been available. The employees need to pay more attention to customers.
