The Royal Senchi Hotel and Resort

There’s plenty to do outside, from golf and volleyball to football, basketball, and more. The setting is peaceful, with lovely mountain and surrounding views. Inside, the rooms are great: comfy beds, a nice balcony, good washroom facilities, and a fridge stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The buffet has lots of variety and flavor, and you should try the pineapple juice. Room service and the staff in general were 👌.

The portions could have been bigger, but everything else was great. I had Sunday dinner at the hotel restaurant with a live band playing beautiful African songs in the background. The jollof rice was tasty, the cocktail was very nice, and I liked that the chicken wasn’t too spicy.

It takes a substantial amount of money to spend a night here, but the place is exquisite, clean, and serene, and it lives up to what you see. I’d choose it over many other places in Accra again and again.

We paid 450 each to try the buffet, the most expensive place we tried in Ghana, which made sense given the buffet. But they didn’t take dietary restrictions into account. I was hoping to try Jollof, but it had goat in it, and I don’t eat red meat. The waitress kindly went to the kitchen and brought me rice without meat. I also wanted to try fufu, but the woman making it said I couldn’t have any unless I took goat or snail stew, neither of which I wanted to try. I ended up with grilled chicken, the rice, and some sushi. For me, it wasn’t worth the cost. If you have dietary restrictions, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
