When we got back from excursions, several people in my group had trouble getting towels. Staff said none were available until the next day because the laundry was closed for the night. My towel had also been taken from the room while we were out, with no replacement left behind. I used the laundry service too, and had a lot of trouble getting my clothes back. The staff seemed less friendly and less willing to help with requests than at the other places we stayed in the country. Fortunately, this was the last hotel of our trip.

We stopped here for food during a road trip from Takoradi to Accra. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was clean and peaceful.

My stay at Ridge Royal Hotel was pleasant and stress free. The rooms were clean, the staff courteous, and the food was good. It offers comfort, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere, making it a reliable choice in Cape Coast.

Getting to the rooms meant a 3-5 minute walk from reception each time, since they're quite far away. The room itself was large, but the hotel feels very old. They left just one set of paper towels in the room, which wasn't convenient, and the restaurant had limited food choices. For the facilities, I found it expensive. The hot water didn't work, so they later moved us to another room.

Emmanuel, the Food and Beverage chief, was very rude to me. I was eating and trying to make content, and asked one of the buffet attendants to take a video of me serving my food. There weren't other guests around the buffet or food. She agreed, then he came over and shouted at both of us, as if there were a no-video or no-pictures policy. Nobody had told me about any such rule when I arrived. I'm a guest, not a staff member, and he could have spoken to the attendant privately instead of yelling at us in front of more than 20 people having breakfast. Afterwards he didn't speak to me or apologize, just wandered around as though nothing had happened. I wouldn't recommend this place to content creators.
