Ashfood Court Hotel

The front desk team were very friendly, and the rooms were spacious. We had electricity and water for all three nights, and the central location was handy for nearby sites and going out. But the rooms weren't clean, and there was sometimes cloth, bola, or other stuff lying in the corridors. The neighborhood was noisy too, with one or two bars playing very loud music, especially until 1 or 2 am. It's not the hotel's fault, but there are other nearby hotels that cost less and are cleaner and quieter.

We booked two rooms for our family and were put on opposite sides of the corridor. The place was filthy, with basic louvre windows that let street noise inside. Open doors at the back left us seriously worried about security. The so-called shower room had a bucket and cup, which was the final straw. We were very disappointed and had to find another hotel quickly, but the $76 we paid wasn't refundable. People who gave it five stars, have you seen other hotels?

Room prices are fair and affordable, starting as low as 60 CEDI's a night. It's in Bantama submetro in Kumasi, not too far from Great land hotel (1 STAR rated).
