The view from the back door is a highlight: you can see the sea, the canoes below, and the fishing community to the left. It’s peaceful and close to other places to visit. The rooms are spacious, with working AC and hot water. A few things need attention. The pool wasn’t full or usable during our stay, the grounds could use a cleanup, and the bathroom shower cables were leaking despite the bathrooms being large and functional. It would also be better if lunch and dinner were available. I’d recommend the place, but keep expectations in check; there’s room for it to become an excellent resort.

Mr Sawyer made the stay special. I’ve never met a manager, host, or CEO so willing to do anything to make sure guests are all right and having the best stay possible. He’s kind and genuinely caring. The other workers were welcoming too, and the property can arrange taxis at good prices. The beds are very large and comfortable, and the views are great. The restaurant looks beautiful overlooking the sea, though the menu is limited and reasonably priced. I did find the property a bit costly for what you get. The pool was still being built while I was there, and the shower facilities, terrace, and sea-view areas could use updates. I’d still come back, thanks so much.

Our balcony looked out over the sea, and the room had AC, a fridge, and a TV. The bar and restaurant served excellent food, with a really good choice of beers and other drinks. Abuesi Beach Resort sits on a hill above the harbour and makes a good base for a night or longer. Owner Samuel was very welcoming and went out of his way to show us Fort San Sebastian at Shama. They’re also installing a swimming pool with a bar beside it.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Eating with the sea breeze and sound of the waves made the food even better, and the whole place was very clean. Laundry was quick and efficient, and our room was spotless. The staff were well trained, helpful, and had a relaxed sense of humour. Abuesi Beach Resort feels like a hidden escape, perched high above the ocean with a great beach view from all the chalets. We also got to visit the nearby Sébastien fort, which was amazing. It’s a lovely romantic spot.

Mr Samuel Sawyer welcomed us to Abuesi Beach resort as a special place for special people, and that really stuck with me. The view was fantastic, the service was perfect, and the room was clean and spacious. I was surprised by the gh50, 00 price, especially compared with other resorts that charge so much more. The beach was closed because of the Corona virus epidemic, though. I’ll come back if I travel around Takoradi again.
