Coconut Grove Beach Resort

The beach and grounds are beautiful, but the rooms were terrible and I consider the pool a health hazard. We booked a family room, and the place clearly hasn't been updated or modernized. It was very disappointing. We wanted to swim, but algae and spores were growing inside the pool. There didn't seem to be a chlorine pump, so the water just sat there collecting mold. The beach is lovely, but I wouldn't recommend sleeping here or using the pool.

The location is beautiful, but the place needs renovation. The doors are hard to use, the bathroom needed repairs, and the pipes made noise. Wi-Fi was awful: I had to stay in the living room to connect, and it disappeared as soon as I went into my room. Dinner service was really disappointing. We waited over 45min to an hour for takeaway, some people left, and even then they forgot some desserts. Maybe they were short staffed, but it was frustrating at such a great location. Breakfast was wonderful, though they didn't have syrup. Ask staff to show you how to open your door. The staff themselves were kind and wonderful.

The grilled fish was the best I've had so far, cooked and seasoned just right. The hotel looks gorgeous and the food is delicious, with great service. A couple of things to know: the beds are small and low to the ground, and the water is warm but never hot. Pressure is low, and it gets too weak after 6am, so shower in the evening.

A real home away from home, with beautiful rooms and top notch service. You're right by the sea, so you can eat while watching the waves and the fishermen heading out or coming back. Take a walk along the beach, too. It's well worth spending two or three nights here to unwind and feel refreshed.
