Grace Garden Hotel

The cocktails are really good, and I still enjoy coming here to stay or spend time in the Western Region. The pool and property have been consistently maintained by management. Food from the kitchen is tasty, service from the staff is great, and the setting is lovely. I meant to change my rating to five stars two years ago, but forgot until now. 🥰

The staff were the standout for us. Whenever my family needed anything, they helped quickly, and check-in was easy. We came from the U.S. unsure what to expect, and the service felt like what you'd get at a five-star hotel in the States. The grounds and exterior were gorgeous and well cared for, with plenty of staff around. We had three rooms. They were clean and stocked with toiletries, coffee, tea, and a refrigerator, though one bathroom wasn't clean. The beds were large and comfortable, with soft bedding, and the air conditioning worked well. Robes and slippers were a nice extra. The pool was clean too. It's in a handy spot near the mall, and the roads were decent. We waited about 40 minutes for food, probably because it was made fresh to order. Breakfast came hot and there was plenty of it, though it wasn't quite to the taste of the American kids with us. I'd definitely stay at Grace Garden again when I'm back in Takoradi.

We ended up turning lunch into dinner because the wait for our food stretched to two hours. They had run out of all the seafood on the menu, so we chose from what was left. It was delicious once it arrived. We picked this place because it was convenient for my brother, who has a disability, but there weren't any provisions or accommodations for disabled guests. We made the best of it. Our waitress seemed moody at first, though she made up for it at the end. It was a memorable afternoon all the same.

The drive in on that rough road was the one downside. Once there, it was clean, with professional and friendly staff, and the food was good, especially the breakfast buffet. The rooms are comfortable and tidy, and the beds have a nice softness without being too soft. A good spot to relax and unwind. Just my thoughts, hope they help.
