On our second visit, we were first allowed to use the kitchen, but that permission was later taken away. The food we bought was inedible, and the UK-based owner called security, insisting we pay as soon as we arrived, before we’d even taken our luggage to the room. That’s why I had to lower my rating. On our first, one-night stay, we appreciated the large kitchen for cooking our own meals and the 1:00 PM checkout. But the staff put a large amount of chlorine in the pool, making the water unusable for 12 to 24 hours, for no apparent reason. There didn’t seem to be any other hotel guests around.

The place has no charm, and the owner seemed more interested in money than giving guests good service. We booked beach-view accommodation through him, but he sent us here because the other place had water supply problems. After a 20-minute walk in the dark, he offered us a small room, smaller than what we had booked, and acted as if he were doing us a favor. When we asked for two rooms since he couldn’t provide the accommodation we’d originally booked, he asked for more money.

It’s very peaceful and serene, a nice setting for small staff activities or a family picnic. For a good night’s sleep, this is the place to choose. Just be sure to bring your own bottled water.

A beautiful facility, but it needs serious maintenance and renovation.
