The building is pretty and well located. We were on the first floor, and there was a lift. Check-in was easy and stress-free with the key safe. A few things were missing from the apartment, like a tea towel, an ironing board, more plates, and a bedside table or shelf, but it wasn’t a major issue. It was very clean. The studio was tiny, with no balcony or view, so it’s not somewhere you’d want to hang out. It suited us fine for the few nights we stayed.
We visited in February and had problems. We were told they’d be dealt with, but nothing had improved by the time of this visit. The penthouse standards were very low: the furniture was dirty, the sofa was icy cold, the bedding had to be replaced, and the outside furniture was hardly any cleaner than before. Apparently the staff spoke no English, which seemed strange in an English territory with so many English visitors. When I asked for bin liners, I got a sarcastic “whatever” and they didn’t understand; after that, the staff basically ignored us. One person said good morning on our last day. We thought we’d found somewhere we could return to every year, but sadly not. We need politeness, cleanliness, and a way to communicate with staff, and we got none of those.
We spent three nights here and would definitely return. Check-in was easy, the room was comfortable and well equipped, with a full kitchen and washing machine, and it looked just like the pictures. It’s very quiet at night, there’s a lift, and the location in town makes it easy to get around Gibraltar. The rates were reasonable, so it felt well worth the money.
The apartment was cozy, modern, and spotless, with all the amenities we needed for a short stay. The balcony was a nice bonus. The building itself is modern, clean, and newly refurbished. Getting in with the lockbox was super convenient, and we were even able to check in early. There’s also somewhere to leave luggage after checkout. The host answered all our questions quickly, both before and during the stay. The location is hard to beat, right in the city centre just off Main Street. It’s a couple of minutes to the square and a 15-minute walk to either the cable cars or the airport. Shops, cafés, and restaurants are close by too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place in Gibraltar.
This was my second visit, and my second time staying in the apartment. The location is perfect, it’s clean, and it has everything you need. Staff are there throughout the day if you need help, and email replies come quickly.
