The staff made the stay, attentive and accommodating without getting in your way. Front desk were especially helpful with directions, tour arrangements, and even last-minute requests. Restaurant service was friendly and quick without feeling rushed. It’s an easy location for exploring on foot, and the marina was surprisingly quiet over the weekend. There are plenty of very local restaurants around, though the hotel food is very good too. The room was spacious and spotless, but felt a little tired and could use a decor refresh. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed four days while waiting to join our ship. The hotel staff were very professional, but the male restaurant staff were rude and acted strangely towards my team, who were all Indian. I don’t want to say it, but they seemed to treat us differently. As soon as white guests arrived, they greeted them with smiles and spoke politely.

We loved our night on the Sunborn, even though it was only one night. We booked at the last minute to celebrate our engagement, and the staff made us feel special. The room was stunning, the location fabulous, and both the aqua roof bar and GastroBar restaurant were outstanding. I’m vegan and found the menu extensive. We’re moving to Gibraltar in 2027 and hope to become regulars at the bars and restaurants. I loved the yacht’s luxury, and I’m glad it’s being used as a hotel after retiring from sailing. I’d love the bars to consider a well-behaved dog policy so we could bring our chihuahuas aboard and enjoy it with them.

Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection, and the staff were consistently welcoming and attentive. The hotel is in a fantastic location, and the general cleanliness was perfectly fine. Still, the room showed a lot of wear for a five-star place. There were stains on the walls and leather upholstery, and damage to the floors and walls. The balcony was especially poor, with a lot of surface rust and ceiling panels missing. The building feels dated and needs refurbishment in some areas. The hospitality and food were top-notch, but the worn condition of the property let it down a bit.
