The view here is amazing, honestly hard to beat. The place itself is freezing, though, almost as cold as the hearts at Bluestone.

Just to be clear, I'm reviewing the hotel's "Sea Safari," not the hotel itself. We followed one humpback from a fair distance for about 30 minutes and saw a former whale abattoire. We appreciated that they kept farther away than Canadian or Norwegian whale watchers and limited time with each whale to 30 minutes, so as not to stress them. Still, there seemed to be time to look for another whale or take the advertised closer look at a large iceberg nearby. The trip was underwhelming and not worth the money. We saw more marine life, five humpbacks and countless seals, from the coastal ferry on our way to Aasiaat. The boat's destination is also reachable on foot along the island's southern shore. It was advertised as a two-hour trip, but ended in under 90 minutes, including putting on and taking off the protective gear. I tracked the route with GPS: we were on the boat for 71 minutes.
