Kang Apartment

The crew and tour were wonderful, and we were absolutely delighted with the Icefjord cruise. The boat only takes six people, with no extra space inside, but it moves quickly, at 29 knots, and can weave easily between icebergs. The captain surprised us by taking a photo of us with a drone and also let us step onto an iceberg. The price was lower than Water Taxi, and they agreed to accept cash, which is rare for Greenland.

Thanks to Kang Tourism for a great fish and dish trip to Qooqqut Nuan. I enjoyed going with a small group and had a lovely time with the other Greenlanders on the tour. It was nice meeting locals, hearing the Greenlandic language, and experiencing their hospitality. Great trip, great people.

The icefjord sailing trip was fantastic. The crew were friendly and good storytellers, and they made it a really special experience. I’d definitely recommend it!

My mother and I rented one of their apartments for a week. Getting in was simple, with the door left unlocked and the key inside, so there was no paperwork to deal with. The location wasn’t bad, but you need a car. It may look fairly close to things, yet the weather up there is wild and not suitable for relaxed walks. The apartment itself was dirty. It wasn’t the worst place I’ve seen, but it wasn’t clean at all. There was dust everywhere, the kitchen was filthy, and the shower was yellowed in the corners and completely blocked by black hairs. There were hairs on the floor too, and I had to clear them before I could use the shower. We went to the office just downstairs to report it. They said they’d come up themselves to remove the hairs, but didn’t plan to address the overall dirt. I got the impression they didn’t have a cleaner, and they made me feel like a fussy nitpicker. Nobody ever came. We spent 10 days in a dirty apartment with that clogged shower.
