The restaurant is very good, and the hostel sits right by the fjord in a beautiful spot. The rooms are small, though. Try for one with bunk beds, since that gives you room for your things.

The view was nice and the place seemed clean, but I wouldn’t recommend it. For over 1000DK per night in a shared apartment, there was no breakfast, not even soap in the shower, and nowhere nearby to get coffee. I know places in Nuuk for half the price with much better service. I chose it for my last two nights in Greenland, hoping for somewhere a bit nicer. I’d said I would arrive after 20:00, and expected to be there at 21:00, but my flight was delayed and I arrived at 23:00. Nobody was there to check me in. After I called, someone who sounded annoyed sent two young people. They first put me in an occupied room, frightening the woman staying there, then gave me the wrong key. There was so much rattling that another guest woke up and opened the door for us. At 7:30 the next morning, I couldn’t lock the door when leaving. No one was around to help, so I had to leave it open. There’s absolutely no service at this expensive, pretentious place. The building has potential, but the operation is a long way from serious. If the owners don’t want to do the job, they should sell to people who want to run a hostel.

The panorama was excellent, and it was a fantastic experience. We definitely recommend it for an interesting Greenlandic culinary experience.

The cottages were warm and comfortable even with the winter-like weather in March, and the living room was spacious with a lovely view. The kitchen had cooking utensils, cutlery, a fridge, and a coffee maker. The bathroom and toilet were clean and well kept. We stayed in a four-room cottage, with two people per room. The rooms were small but fine for sleeping. Remember to bring your own coffee and tea, or use the restaurant. The location is brilliant and the views are wonderful. Cottage standards were very good. I recommend it!
