The food was really good, including traditional Gambian dishes on some evenings, so we always had something nice to eat. The rooms are lovely, with a huge bed and a very modern bathroom. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming, and they even helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room when we arrived. They were especially kind to my 4-year-old daughter. We’d definitely come back.

We stayed from November 30th to December 15th and will definitely be back next year. The hotel is right on the beach, and the pools are clean. Our room was a little bungalow set in a nicely kept garden. It was very clean, with fresh towels every other day or whenever we needed them, and pool towels were provided too. The food was very good and the drinks were okay. The staff, pool team, gardeners, and entertainment staff were all friendly and helpful. I’d give the staff 10 out of 10.

The food really stood out: even with limited choices, it was fresh, tasty, and well seasoned. The chefs did a great job, and service was quick and well trained. We came here from Kombo Beach Hotel, which is considered the best hotel, but I’ve never met a friendlier staff. They were so kind and welcoming, and it felt like being with family. Thanks for having us. We’ll definitely come back!

I’ve spent 15 years coming to The Gambia and staying in different hotels and areas, and this is by far the best in the area for the quality. It faces Kotu beach, with good food, entertainment, and hospitality. I’d highly recommend it.

At Subset Beach Hotel Koto, Gambia, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they work so hard. The local horses on the beach are well cared for, so don’t be afraid to go for a ride.
