Atlantic View Hotel

The room changes were a huge disruption, and the problems never got properly sorted. A lock on a room facing outside was broken, which felt like a serious safety risk. We reported it five times and ended up being moved three times. The hotel gave me a master key and a list of five rooms, telling me to find a clean one myself. Cleanliness was poor from the start. The sheets in my first room were dirty, and roaches came pouring out when I opened the fridge. I’ve lived across the continent and know bugs can be part of life, but this was unacceptable. I couldn’t even go into the second room because the sewage smell was so strong. For these prices, that’s not okay, though I might expect it at a $30-a-night place. The WiFi was unreliable and often unusable, so working or staying connected was difficult. Breakfast was left mostly exposed in the heat, and I was nervous to eat more than a croissant. The hotel doesn’t meet basic standards for safety, cleanliness, or service. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
