The airport pickup was a little late, though I didn't have to wait long. The stay itself was disappointing. At check-in, the front desk staff member was rude. My bed had strands of hair and visible stains on the sheet. It took a while for anyone to come, which was hard after a tiring trip, and the person who arrived had trouble understanding that I needed all the bedding changed. It was eventually taken care of. The next day, another staff member was genuinely helpful. He arranged a room change and called later to check on me. But the new room had a cockroach and a urine stain on the toilet seat. Housekeeping took my towel one day and didn't replace it, so I had to ask the cleaning staff for another. There was only a bath towel in the new room, no hand towel. The cleaning staff seemed irritated when I asked for a sheet change, so I felt uncomfortable raising anything else. Breakfast was identical each day, and the complimentary coffee was extremely weak.

Rachida was especially friendly and went out of her way to make us comfortable. She really wanted my review to be five stars, and she earned it. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and I had a great stay. Best hotel I've stayed at in West Africa. I'll definitely come back. Thank you, Rachida!

The pizza was served undercooked and cost 1,30,000 GNF, far too expensive for that. I waited 20 minutes for extra ketchup, by which time the whole pizza had gone cold. Asking for anything in English seemed to get a no, and there was no room service at all. I had to go down to reception just to get a bottle of water. The rooms don't have basic things like a hot kettle. When I asked, I was told it costs extra, while the same Onomo Hotel Bamako provides one free. I wouldn't recommend ONOMO Hotel. Spend more and stay somewhere with basic hospitality.

I used to stay at Onomo whenever I visited Conakry over the past five years. Lately, almost everything seems to have deteriorated. The room I'm in now smells bad and has no TV or refrigerator. Some lights are broken, and the air conditioning doesn't work properly. I arrived late tonight and have to leave for the airport early, so I reported the problems to reception and had to sleep anyway. No one has replied so far. I'm shocked by this and won't be back. I don't recommend staying until they take honest steps to save the reputation they built earlier. I'll report this to my company, Oldendorff, and the agency.

I've stayed here several times, and the rooms vary a lot in how worn out they are. Staff are very rude and slow. There doesn't seem to be anyone in management to speak with, and the whole place keeps getting worse.
