Noom Hotel Conakry

The pool overlooking the sea is beautiful, the hotel is quite clean, the location worked well for me, and the free airport shuttle was handy. Restaurant staff were friendly and quick, though the bar staff were slow. The place is pleasant, but it doesn't feel like a five-star hotel, more like three stars by international standards. For a business trip, the very unstable Wi-Fi was a real problem. Food choices are limited: lunch is buffet only, while a la carte is available at the bar with even fewer options. Both the restaurant and bar close early. Housekeeping was slow too. Whenever I needed something, I had to call three or four times before anyone came.

I chose Noom for a business trip from February 21 to 24, 2026, because I knew it from Abidjan and liked the Booking photos. I later realized they were from when the hotel opened ten years ago. The rooms are badly run down inside and out, and the doors all look alike. The elevators were damaged and painfully slow. I got stuck in one and managed to get out by the grace of God; it then stayed out of service for two full days. Service was very poor, and the staff didn't make me feel welcome. There was also a serious problem at check-in. My company had paid for the nights in advance, but my flight was delayed from February 21 to February 22. The hotel treated the first night as a no-show and deducted it. I explained to the front desk employee named CONDE that the room had already been paid for and should remain reserved in my name regardless of when I arrived. He wasn't pleasant and didn't understand, and made me pay 150 euros in cash for a night already covered by my company. I would not recommend repeating this experience. Avoid this hotel.

The bathroom was fine, and the staff were very helpful. I also came to appreciate the restaurant more the longer I spent around town, though at first I was disappointed after seeing the food photos online. The omelette was hot, but the breakfast buffet was cold. For a five-star hotel, I expected more for the price. It was okay, but they hadn't put out fresh towels. There was also a draft in the room and a loud whistling noise, even after I checked that the window was shut properly. The restaurant itself was okay.

The location is great, and most of the service staff are kind. But weekends are so loud that getting any rest is impossible. Events go on all day with speakers blasting. Even though my room is above the fourth floor, music and bass from downstairs surround it and make the room shake. The room and restaurant also feel pretty basic for the prices.
