Primus Hotel Kaloum

My room was dirty, with visible stains on the brown carpets and a pile of hair on the bathroom marble top. Room 1201 is one to avoid because the AC doesn’t work. When I asked to move, staff kept saying the hotel was fully booked. My key stopped working several times, so I had to go back downstairs, and they double booked my room despite being told several times. The staff and service are a complete joke, and customer service is nonexistent. At the Chinese restaurant, they spoke only Mandarin and expected me to understand. I had to insist on English, and when the food came, it was in a plastic bowl inside a street nylon bag. I was shocked. Bad experience, poor standards.

You can hear traffic from inside the rooms, and the cable TV channel selection is terrible. The carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years.

The rooms are okay, but everything else was a mess. There seems to be nobody controlling what goes on at the hotel. Service was very, very, very bad, with no room service, poor laundry, and employees with bad attitudes. They charged me more than the menu price, even after the service charge and tax. Completely disorganized!

The room was dirty and full of insects. If you smoke, you have to go outside to some corner with nowhere to sit, and it’s very dirty there too. You’re not allowed to take your coffee to the place where you drink coffee. My morning started like crap.
