The rooms are very clean and look smart, and the staff are attentive and pleasant with customers. For events, they let you set up and run meetings the way you want, with a variety of spaces and plenty of good service. I used to love the restaurant, which was much better before. They could improve further by hiring staff who speak multiple languages.

I spent three nights there only because my booking couldn’t be refunded, and I was counting the minutes until I could leave. The restaurant may explain the strong Google rating, since it’s good by Equatorial Guinea standards, but the rooms are another story. They’re tiny, filthy, and every one I encountered had a terrible smell. The first room had a broken bathroom door, water spread across the floor when I showered, and a foul toilet odor kept me awake all night. When I asked to move the next day, reception showed me two ground-floor rooms that both smelled strongly of damp. I’m not someone who complains over small things, but I couldn’t stay in those rooms. I finally insisted on taking a room that the cleaner was working on because it seemed a little better. The staff tried their best, but the rooms are simply awful. For the price, you get a basic bed, if you can sleep through the smell. I won’t even get into the furniture.

The food was tasty, and there was a good range to choose from. Really great restaurant.

Friday night live music is a big part of why I love coming here. It’s one of my favorite spots in Malabo, and the food is exceptional. The staff are all excellent too. I highly recommend it.
