The rooms were nice, and the service and cleaners were nice too. The bathrooms were SO old, though, and there were too many mosquitoes. The location wasn't the best, but it was okay.

The beach is close, and guests can use three pools. The cleaning staff and the rest of the team were lovely and did their best to make our stay pleasant. Still, I wouldn't come back, especially if I wanted a quiet break. Noise was the main problem during our 11 nights with friends. There was a concert at the taverna or the sister hotel every other night, and staff were rolling shopping carts past the windows from 6 in the morning. The rooms felt dated, particularly the bathrooms, where even a tiny turn of the shower knob could make the water scalding hot. We only discovered after two nights that the windows had mosquito nets, so until then we were either being eaten alive or freezing with the AC on. Some nets didn't work properly. Mine was stuck and wouldn't roll all the way down, so bugs still got in.

A lovely family-run taverna right by the beach, with holiday apartments behind it. The sisters look after the apartments while their parents run the taverna.

The rooms aren't soundproof, so you can hear just about everything, and the beach is rocky. The pools also weren't heated, and using beach sunbeds cost 6 euros for two people. On the plus side, the hotel is right by the sea, with shops and two supermarkets nearby. Breakfast was a very good buffet with plenty of choice, the staff were friendly, and our room was cleaned daily. There's also a small playground and an indoor garden with turtles near reception, plus three pools. If you're staying in the north of the island, Odysseus restaurant is worth a visit for generous portions, tasty food and friendly staff. They have live music on Thursdays. 7th Heaven Caffè has a nice view and sunset spot, and Canal D'Amour in Sidari is a romantic place with rocky formations.
