Tassos Apartments

The location, outdoor areas and pool are fabulous, and the staff are lovely. But the condition of our accommodation ruined the experience. We stayed in room 111 for the last four nights of a two-week trip around Corfu, and the kitchen had very few utensils. The bathroom badly needs updating. It was filthy, with the shower curtain rail coming away from the wall. The plughole was so disgusting that the bathroom flooded every time we showered. The kitchen was gloomy too, with no decent light bulb and very little natural light.

The pool and its surrounding area, including the beds, are lovely. This is a hidden gem in North Corfu, and the owners are steadily working to upgrade all the accommodation. The units that have been finished are to a very high standard. It’s the kind of place you’ll come back to again and again!

We got one of the new apartments, and it was great, with everything you need. The staff and location are fantastic, and it’s not far from the shops or beach. We’re already talking about bringing more family members next time. Highly recommended.

The pool and bar are lovely, though we spent most of our time by the sea. There’s a pebbly beach just a few minutes away, with plenty of seaside bars and restaurants. For more shops and places to eat, the main road is a 10-15 minute walk, and the supermarket is up there too. Our apartment was comfortable but very basic. The kitchen was tiny and short on useful bits for self-catering: we could have used a proper bread knife, more cups and glasses, and soap, washing-up liquid and dishcloths. The two-bedroom layout wasn’t really private, since the upstairs sleeping area was an open mezzanine. Noise carried, and the upstairs floor creaked enough to disturb anyone sleeping below. The apartment could also do with freshening up. Two others in our group had a studio that looked much nicer and recently renovated. The staff were always friendly and ready to help. The cleaner emptied the bins daily, cleaned every other day, and changed towels every other day if requested. Air conditioning costs extra, with the price seeming to depend on how many units you need and how long you’re staying. A beautiful setting and a comfortable stay, despite the basic apartment.
