Acharnis Kavallari Hotel Suites

We had a large group staying here and held our program in the ballroom, which went really well. The accommodation was lovely, and the hotel itself was great. The service stood out too, especially Maria, the manager. She was fantastic.

Maria, the manager, made discriminatory remarks and behaved unprofessionally. There also weren’t any restaurants within a reasonable distance, and breakfast was only served to 50 people even though we had booked for 100 guests over four nights. When we arrived, we found that the maximum number of available rooms had toilet doors without locks, and one room hadn’t been cleaned. These problems meant we couldn’t stay for the planned four nights. Most of our guests left after two nights, and we lost a significant amount of money and had our holiday ruined. I strongly advise against booking here.

The only bright spot was the receptionist, who kept trying to help. The breakfast was simple but okay, and for what we paid, we weren’t expecting much more. But stray dogs and cats, visibly carrying bugs, wandered around the hotel, went into the kitchen, and came up to guests while they were eating. We booked rooms for our wedding guests and a suite for our wedding night. The place felt gloomy, and guest rooms smelled of cigar smoke. We later saw cleaning staff smoking in the rooms or on their balconies while cleaning, which seemed to explain the smell. The sheets were stained, and the walls needed painting or had marks on them. Some bathroom hairdryers didn’t work, while others seemed unsafe because the wire’s protective plastic was missing. There were no shower curtains and no fresh towels. Our suite was even worse, dark and dirty, with only two working light bulbs. Spending our wedding night in that “haunted” room was really sad. For the price, the bare minimum should have been a clean space. We weren’t expecting high-end service, just working lights and clean things. It’s nowhere near the four stars claimed on the website, maybe one at best. It feels like it’s been left behind, and we regret bringing our guests here and staying here for our wedding night. Not worth it.

A friend booked me a room for two days, supposedly with a double bed, but it was two singles pushed together. Everything was filthy, very old, and falling apart. There was a sick dog with a bad smell wandering around the lobby, and the kitchen was really dirty. The staff were unfriendly and wouldn’t let you park under the trees or anywhere the sun wouldn’t hit your car. The pool was full of tree debris too, and there were lots of other problems.
