We were given a bottle of water and lots of useful information to help us enjoy Milos. The studio was simple but very good for a short stay, with nearly all the kitchen utensils we needed, though a proper kitchen knife would have helped. It's a five-minute walk to the center and three minutes to a great waterfront with lots of nice restaurants and lovely views.

The location is the main draw for me, right in the middle of everything. Compared with nearby hotels, the price is competitive, and they provide a lot of useful things: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, plates, pans, bowls, and more. The bathroom was clean, and it's a good option if you're after cheap accommodation and don't plan to spend all day in the hotel. We stayed for six days and the room was cleaned just once. The air conditioner smelled strange the whole time, and the water didn't work properly, perhaps because several people were showering at once.

The room isn't large, but for apartments in this price range it has all the amenities you could want. I even found a French press for my morning coffee. The women at reception were helpful, and the place turned out even better than I expected. It's about a 10-minute walk from where the ferry docks, which might be a lot with groceries or in the hot sun. With a rental car it's no problem, and there's plenty of parking nearby. I'd definitely recommend it.

My ferry was cancelled, making it physically impossible to keep the reservation, but the hosts at Finakas Studios offered no flexibility or goodwill. They stopped responding or sent cold, dismissive replies when I needed help. The welcoming attitude seemed to disappear as soon as things went wrong, leaving me feeling that there was no concern for travelers' circumstances. I came away feeling that this was a profit-driven operation, not genuine hospitality. I also found Milos unusually expensive for a small, lesser-known island with limited infrastructure and fewer attractions. Accommodation prices seemed higher even than Santorini, and the lack of alternatives made the pricing feel opportunistic. I wouldn't recommend visiting Milos or staying here. Save your money for somewhere you can be treated as a valued guest, rather than a source of revenue.
