Aeginitikon Arhontikon

The staff were very nice and the building has a quaint feel, but this place is tired and needs serious updating. Hotels.com lists it as four stars, which makes no sense to me. It's a very basic hotel with dated rooms and furniture. Our group had four rooms, and they were all similar: nowhere to open a suitcase, squeaky beds, tiny, very dated washrooms, showers that were impossible to use and sliding washroom doors that wouldn't close. We also found roaches in several rooms, an issue management acknowledged.

The arhontikon architecture was lovely and well preserved, giving the place an authentic atmosphere. We stayed in the ground-floor room with two single beds. There was no shower curtain, which caused drainage problems, and nobody had warned us about that.

It's a lovely hotel in a historic building, with beautiful rooms and very nice staff. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep well, since there's no sound insulation and you can hear motorcycles and mopeds all the time.

We wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were so nice, helpful and friendly, from the manager to the cleaning lady, and the terrace has a beautiful view. Breakfast was super tasty too. Our room wasn't fancy, but it was very clean and the bed was comfortable, so we slept great. The TV even had Netflix, and we watched THE OFFICE before bed 😅.
