One thing to plan for: you can't drive in Chania old town. Find a parking spot as close as you can, then walk with your luggage. It's no more than 500 meters, and the pedestrian streets are easy to navigate. Locals were extremely helpful and friendly. The house itself is a gorgeous architecturally designed property, luxurious, comfortable, and well equipped with the comforts of home and more. They even stocked basics like eggs, butter, bread, and fruit, which many places in Greece didn't. Restaurants and bars are right outside, the waterfront is a block away, and the location in old town is hard to beat. We spent a week at Dorotheou House and absolutely loved it. Chania is amazing!
