The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely kind and helpful. We came in winter and found them warm and cosy, with plenty of hot water that didn't rely on switching an in-room boiler on and off. A real luxury in Greece! The hotel sits by the sea, with a breathtaking view across the Saronic Gulf to the Temple of Apollo. It's only a few hundred metres from the ferry terminal, yet the area stays peaceful.

The beach was just a minute away, and we could get around town on foot. My friend and I stayed at Kolona Hotel, a sister hotel just above the Plaza that's also run by the lovely Kalamakis family. Our room was clean and quiet, with everything we needed. The owners shared plenty of good suggestions for things to see, eat, and do. We'd gladly recommend the Kalamakis family and Kolona Hotel.

The owners made us feel at home, always welcoming and ready to help, and their local tips were great. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable, with dependable hot water. Plaza Hotel Aegina was spotless and well kept. We also loved how central it was, just a short walk from the port, shops, and restaurants. A clean, friendly place in a convenient spot. We'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting Aegina.

We travel a lot and don't choose hotels by their star rating. For us, location, cleanliness, and basics like air conditioning and a private bathroom matter more. This place went beyond what we expected. Our room had a balcony and a lovely view of the Saronic Gulf, and the owners were so kind and willing to help with any request. We only booked one night at Plaza, and ended up wishing we'd stayed longer. The room was comfortable and had all we needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and gave us a great recommendation for Aegina. I've never had better service. The location was amazing too, right on the beach and an easy walk to the port and some great restaurants. I'd gladly stay again.
