Villa Ifigeneia

The outdoor space at Ifigeneia Villa made for a relaxing stay: there’s a beautiful pool, plenty of room to eat, a pizza oven, barbecue, table tennis, and even a little chapel. Around the pool we had sunbeds, a giant parasol, a small table for two, comfortable lounge sofas, and a lifeguard ring. We hired a car to see other parts of Rhodes and parked beside the villa in its allotted space. Afantou beach, with clear water and lots of marine life, is only a five-minute walk away. Inside, the villa is spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Mrs Tsampika greeted us with a smile, showed us around, and had made cakes, displayed on a pretty two-tier plate. She'd also left breakfast provisions for the next morning: milk, juice, water, bread, butter, eggs, jams, honey, sugar, coffee, and hot chocolate capsules. There was fresh fruit in a large basket and two bottles of wine on the dining table too. It was a memorable welcome. There are three bedrooms: two with king-size double beds, one of those with an ensuite shower, bathroom, and toilet, and a third with twin beds. A second shower room, sink, and toilet sit between the twin room and the other double bedroom. Everything was pristine, with lots of storage, towels, linen, and extra blankets in case the temperature changed. Each room has air conditioning, special mosquito screens, and blinds for nighttime. The kitchen and dining area are spacious, with the lounge and TV/audio area just in front. There are plenty of appliances, including a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, toaster, blender, toasted sandwich maker, mixer, and coffee machine, along with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and tea towels. The kitchen and combined dining and lounge area feel modern and tastefully done. The utility room has a washing machine, ironing board and iron, sweeping brush, dustpan, hoover, and laundry basket. With sun every day, we could run a couple of loads and dry them on the rack outside, so we didn't come home with piles of washing. That was a big help. There were also books and games for all ages. The whole villa has been designed and furnished with so much care, with everything we needed and more for a relaxing holiday. A brilliant week away, thanks to Mrs Tsampika.

The owners were lovely, and the villa was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we could need. It felt peaceful while still being close to everything. Highly recommend.
