Birbas Hotel

This hotel has a lot of character and is in one of the most authentic villages near Naxos, offering a peaceful, traditional side of the island. The people are genuinely warm, and the whole stay feels relaxed and personal. You still get all the modern comforts you need. It’s a good choice if you want the real atmosphere of the island away from the more touristy areas.

The homemade breakfast was such a lovely surprise. It changed every day, was thoughtfully prepared with traditional touches, and came in a charming basket left in a little box outside the room. We could eat whenever we liked without being disturbed, and the whole detail felt personal and full of care. Hotel Birbas was spotlessly clean, but it was the kindness of Mrs. Katerina and her daughter, Ms. Iakovina, that really touched me. From the start, I felt at home. For anyone who loves nature, peace, and proper relaxation, this is a wonderful place to reconnect with a sense of calm. I’ll remember it as an embrace and a reminder of genuine Greek hospitality. We had a lovely stay at Birbas Hotel. The host was so kind and helpful, and the clean room had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing each morning and adjusted to our dietary needs. The most beautiful beach is only a short walk away, no more than 10 minutes, and there’s a shop close by too, which was very convenient.

The quiet setting was lovely, especially sitting on the balcony at night and watching the stars. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and bus stop, and I liked starting the morning with that walk. My room was roomy, with a beautiful ocean view, and breakfast was homemade and brought to me each day. The staff were so kind and helpful. I stayed four nights and really wished I could have stayed longer. I’d happily come back.
