We enjoyed our seven nights, and the owner and staff were very friendly. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day. We stayed in a basic, somewhat weathered four-bed room on the ground floor with a partial view. It could definitely use renovation, but it didn't bother us too much. We also had a small terrace where we spent our evenings. The location is a real plus, just a few steps from the sea and close to shops, bars, and restaurants, though nearby bars didn't make much noise at night. The owner's mini market has a good variety at reasonable prices by Greek standards. Wi-Fi is available, but you need to be near the antenna for a better signal. To be fair, the whole island seems to have internet issues. Overall, we were very satisfied.

I've been back to Step by Step six times, and Anna and her family make us feel genuinely welcome each year. Our room has an uninterrupted sea view, a perfect spot to watch the sun go down every evening. It's cleaned thoroughly daily, and the sheets and towels are changed every two or three days. There's also free wi-fi now. The fridge is handy for the gin, and we use the small hob to cook eggs for breakfast.

It's OK during the day, but at night it turns into hell: thousands of mosquitos and loud music from the nearby bar. We didn't sleep for two nights, and the road was that bad. Breakfast prices are out of this world. Better to go to the next bar, because four croissants cost £5 in the shop. If you want to rest, pick somewhere else.

There are only four rooms here. It's nice enough, but there was no breakfast option even though there should have been. I was also led to think the beach loungers could be used for free, but they can't.

The terrace was fantastic, and the place sits right by the narrow beach. The apartment was a little small, but laid out well.
