We got the clean, spacious room with a Mediterranean view, including Paros, that we'd hoped for, and the coffee and breakfast choices were good. We also found good coffee within walking distance. My fiancé and I stayed at Proteas Hotel for a week in September 2025, looking for a bit of rest after celebrating a couple of friends' wedding on Ios a few days earlier. We picked up a car in the city center, and the 10-15 minute drive was easy. Free parking across the street was available every time, helped by the shoulder season timing. Staff gave us a warm welcome, and so did the family of cats living nearby. Summer might be even nicer, but we both work in hospitality in Canada, and even with some businesses closing as the season wound down on Naxos, we explored much more than expected and made the most of our time on the island. We didn't watch much TV or use the hotel pool.

A lovely hotel with a beautiful view, set in a peaceful, quiet area. The owners and their family were friendly and helped us with the buses. It's still walkable to the Agios Prokopios area, and the bus links to Naxos town are great. Strongly recommended.

It's set a little uphill, away from the crowds, with nice views and a fresh sea breeze. Everything is in impeccable shape, and the service is personal, very nice, and proactive. The beach is easy to reach, has good service, and this is the calmest part of it. Just know you'll want a car or quad to get around, which we rented at the port when we arrived. The pool is rather deep, so it's not for small children. Proteas was exactly what we were looking for. Really recommend it.

We had a gorgeous sea-view terrace with our junior suite, and the sunsets were beautiful every evening. The staff were amazing, super friendly, and very attentive. I'd definitely stay again.

A spotlessly clean family-run hotel, with nice rooms, a lovely pool, and friendly, helpful staff. It's close enough to walk to the village, but far enough away from the hubbub. The nearby taverna is well worth a visit too. We'd definitely come back.
