Logaras Apartments

The accommodation was clean and peaceful, and great value for the price. Panos and his family were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The town is close by, and the tavern next door was wonderful. I highly recommend a stay and plan to return on a future trip.

We spent 10 nights here as a group of friends, using three rooms. The location is excellent, right in the center of Agia Effimia, so we could walk everywhere. Parking behind the building was easy. The owners are very kind, and the lady speaks impeccable Italian and is very helpful. She lent us umbrellas to keep in our car for the whole stay. The room was cleaned every day. The building isn’t very attractive and feels dated inside and out, including the furnishings and amenities. That was fine for me because we only used our room to shower and sleep. But if you expect to spend more time there, I think you should consider it carefully. Our room for four, two adults and two children, was tiny, with a tiny kitchen we didn’t use apart from the fridge, which worked very well. We used the kitchen sink to wash swimsuits. The bathroom was perhaps the most disappointing part. It’s at the apartment entrance and incredibly small. There’s a shower curtain, but the bathroom floods completely whether you close it or not. The sink is so small that washing swimsuits there is difficult, so I used the kitchen sink instead. We paid for an extra bed, but it was a folding bed that we used for our suitcases, which made the room even more cramped. In the end, two of us slept in the double bed and two in a cot. The air conditioning worked. There are no mosquito nets, and given the wasp problem in Kefalonia, I think they’d be useful. Our apartment had a small balcony overlooking the sea, with a table, chairs and drying rack. We didn’t have any particular problems, but I’m not sure I’d return because I’d like more comfort, especially in the bathroom. Having it flooded after four showers wasn’t ideal, and the room didn’t have any surfaces to put things on.
