L' Odyssee

The owners made our stay especially lovely, sharing tips on local walks and excursions as well as tavernas worth trying. L'Odyssée is only a few minutes by car from Sitia, but it feels tucked away among flowers and trees. We spent sunset lazing in hammocks in the big garden, cooled off in the little pool after our walks, and enjoyed the bright, well-equipped apartment and its lovely view. The bougainvillea was magnificent. We’d been looking for somewhere comfortable, warm and authentic, and Denise and Jean-Louis gave us just that. The area still feels wild, without resorts or mass tourism. Cretans really do welcome you in for coffee or a raki, just for the pleasure of it. We’ll definitely be back.

The setting is as generous as Denise, and we had such a treat here as a family this summer. We’ll be back next autumn, unless too many people agree with us and discover this address first! We almost hesitated to write a review because we’d like to keep it secret. René and Martine

We had a great stay! The place was really comfortable and had everything we needed. The team were so welcoming, warm and lovely, and knew how to look after their guests. We’d be very happy to return. We highly recommend L'odyssée, you won’t be disappointed!

The apartment was furnished with lovely touches, and the garden was just as beautiful and clearly very well cared for.
