Abella Hotel

After 14 nights, we’re at the end of our stay and already wish we could remain longer. I’ve never stayed at a resort for more than five days and felt that way before. Abella has such a good mix of pools, a beachside location, quality rooms, great air-conditioning, and friendly staff and guests. We’ll be back.

The views were stunning, and they even left fruit in our room when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. We had a great time at this family hotel. The pool was beautiful and there was no scramble for sunbeds. The beach is just across the road, with shops and restaurants only a short walk away. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help. I’d definitely recommend it.

I hadn’t had a proper holiday in a long time, so I’m grateful to the owners for creating such a lovely place to rest. They were wonderful and helpful, and the lady working the bar in the evenings was fantastic too. The owner made delicious coffee and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The garden is beautiful to look at from the pool, a sun lounger, or the bar. The pool is well kept, and the rooms were comfortable, spotless, and cleaned daily. The kitchen was fully equipped for making meals, though there are also plenty of good restaurants nearby.

The room was modern and lovely, with a really comfortable bed. Natalie runs this family place, while Kostas comes and goes and ignores the guests. Theo is a real credit to them. The pool was nice, the bar service was good, and you can get lunch or snacks until 5pm. It’s centrally located in Agia Marina, though getting up the very steep hill to the apartments can be tough in the heat or with mobility problems. The shower curtain smelled strongly of mildew and damp, and it made using the bathroom a horrible experience. A glass enclosure would make a big difference. I would return only if they updated it. I didn’t raise it at the time because the owners weren’t available on the days I wanted to speak to them, or we weren’t around.
