Achilles Paradise

The road outside is loud when buses and trucks go up the hill, even with the windows shut. When it finally gets quiet, the unusually noisy refrigerator can still disturb you. Air-conditioning costs 7-12€ a day, and the beds are rock hard. I gave the hosts Johnny and Christina a star each because they’re simply the best. They put up handwritten signs every day, and Johnny makes a point of learning every guest’s name. I only wish we’d joined in more of the activities they arranged at the hotel. Primo’s website calls the location quiet. If that just means there are no nightclubs or shops nearby, that’s true.

The staff are lovely and down to earth, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are really nice, and there’s a good pool too. Such a cozy, fun place to stay. I’d happily visit achilles paradise again.

There are just 21 apartments in this cozy little hotel. Ellis and Johnny, the Danish host couple, do everything they can to make you feel at home. This was my fifth visit, and I hope it won’t be my last.

Johnny and Elis are such lovely Danish hosts. They’re always ready to lift the mood and make the place feel cozy. Johnny may not be the best darts player, but he still pulled off a close win.
