Dias Hotel Apartments

Agia Marina has a relaxed but lively feel, and it doesn't have that 18-30s resort atmosphere. Things calm down after 1am, so a good night's sleep seems likely wherever you stay. Chania Old Town is well worth seeing, especially after dark, and it's only a 20 minute bus ride for €2. We were very happy with our 11 nights here. Joanna, Consatine and Vlad the barman looked after us all, and the family run hotel was kept in pristine condition. There were plenty of sunbeds, plus snacks and drinks by the pool. The freshly squeezed orange juice machine is a must try. Taverns and restaurants are only steps away, with even more places and beach bars across the road. It's a great location and one of the nicest 2★ hotels and studios I've visited. Other guests told me they return year after year.

The pool was lovely and immaculate, and the rooms were cleaned regularly to a good standard. The young woman serving from 0800 each day was amazing. Her breakfast was to die for, and I really liked her sense of humour. Dias apartments are the best, and I hope to return soon.

The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, and the atmosphere was fantastic. It's a family run hotel where everything is done with care. The pool stays at a lovely temperature, cool enough to refresh you but warm once you're in. The bar is open through the day, with good meals at very reasonable prices. There are lots of places to eat nearby too. Our room for three had two single beds and a sofa bed, all comfortable. There was a small kitchenette with a hob and kettle, plus a little fridge with a freezer inside that fit more or less everything we needed. The room also had a good sized table with three chairs, plenty of space for clothes, and two sliding doors onto a balcony with a comfortable round table and two chairs. There was a wall mounted washing line with pegs as well. The cleaning was phenomenal every day except Sunday, understandably. There were around 12 sunbeds with tables and umbrellas by the pool, but there always seemed to be space. Great value, a prime location and wonderful staff. It's suitable for everyone, and I'd happily recommend it. I plan to visit again before long. 10/10.

The building is well insulated from heat and noise. Even with temperatures above 35°, we didn't need the air conditioning. It's just off the main road, so it's a little quieter, but the location is still excellent: five minutes on foot to the beach, and two minutes to the nearest supermarket or restaurants. The place was very clean and well cared for. It's family run, the owners speak excellent English and are happy to help. The bar is well stocked, with simple but good breakfast choices, lunches and snacks.
