Golden Star Praxitelous

The balcony and island views made me feel like I was living in luxury, and the room itself was beautiful. George welcomed us so warmly and has such a kind, thoughtful nature that we felt at home right away. The bed was cosy, the room quiet and comfortable temperature-wise, and everything was just right. Thank you, George ☺️🙏

I walked into reception, saw enough, and immediately left the reservation. I’ve never done that on a trip before. I didn’t even look at the room. The place felt like an ashtray with four walls and a roof. I asked for at least one night’s refund and was refused, of course. I’m not angry so much as impressed by how far someone will go to make this place seem like something it isn’t, while charging people for nonrefundable accommodation. It’s morally corrupt, though I’m sure it helps line someone’s pockets. Sort the reviews by least liked and you’ll see what I mean.

George was a lovely host, really nice and helpful, and we even had free parking beside the hotel. Our room was renovated and clean, and breakfast was brought to us there. They also cleaned the room and changed the sheets and towels the next day. It’s a great base in Agia marina, about a four-minute walk from the beach and close to the good restaurants. Aphia temple is around ten minutes away by car. We had a great weekend and I’d highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast is brought right to the room, which was a nice extra, and we were welcomed with a lovely Sangria. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the décor is very pleasant. The rooms have been renovated, though the doors and windows haven’t. It would be handy to have the WiFi password somewhere in the room. Still, a highly recommended place to stay.
