The rooftop has a lovely view, and the room was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly large. The air con worked, and the price was great. It’s a basic hotel, so I think some people leaving bad reviews expected too much. I’m happy with my stay. People need to stop whingeing.

The roof has a lovely view of the castle and mills, and the bar and pool looked nice, though we didn’t use them. Our room was cleaned daily or every two days, but some of the fresh settings still had marks on them. The hotelier seemed to be doing his usual serving duties, but I didn’t feel comfortable or especially welcomed. The Wi-Fi was terrible, and there was no phone signal in the room, so our phones were almost useless there. We’d booked as a couple and weren’t told beforehand that the rooms listed as studios or apartments had three single beds. Arriving without a double bed was a nasty surprise. We tried putting two singles together with a blanket between them, but the mattresses were different heights and generally didn’t match. The kitchen was really just two hot plates, with no oven or vent and very little cookware. Lighting was poor, with no lamp above the kitchen, and there were very few sockets. The power setup was confusing too. We were told electricity would be cut to devices when the room was locked except for the fridge, but that wasn’t how it worked. The TV was so small that three people couldn’t watch it properly, despite the room being set up for three. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you know about these issues in advance and don’t mind them.

The room was spacious and clean, and Antonis was a helpful, welcoming host. The hotel is well located, about a 10-minute walk from both agia marina and panteli.

The rooms are small for what they cost. The owner was really rude and even shouted at us. It felt like guests were just money to them. There are much nicer hotels around, and I’d never come back.
