We spent two weeks at Relax Hotel in a clean, comfortable room on the second floor overlooking the pool. It was quiet inside the grounds, and the reception staff were great, thank you! There’s a grocery shop nearby, restaurants close by, and we even tried a mini-golf course in the area. The beach was a comfortable 3 min walk. Buses to Chania are nearby too, about 2 euros for a 15 min ride, and they run every 30 min. The room worked well and the price was very affordable. We paid an extra 40 euros per week for AC, though you can choose to use it only on the days you want. The WiFi wasn't always great, sometimes slow and sometimes disconnected. We also noticed some neighbours smoking, and the smell could be bothersome if we were on the balcony or left the balcony door open. We missed asking reception about no-smoking areas, so that might be worth checking. We were happy to find this hotel and can recommend it if you're after an affordable stay with enough benefits for the price.
