We first found this family-run place during Covid, and now we return whenever we're on Crete. It's tucked into an alley near Solimar Turquoise hotel, so keep an eye out for it. One of the brothers gives you a warm welcome and recommends dishes, with plenty to choose from. The family recipe lamb, mousaka, souvlaki and Greek salad were all worth trying, especially with a very cold beer. Good for a quick bite or a full dinner, and one of the best places to eat in Agia Marina.

The food was great, and the staff were lovely with our child. I'd like to come back, but there was a lot of smoking from other guests, which made it a bad fit for us with a child. We had to rush off, and couldn't really taste the last few bites because of the smoke.

Dinner was fantastic, and the staff were really friendly. It was busy when we got there at around 9pm, so we were lucky to find a table.

There were more gluten-free choices than I expected. My girlfriend asked the chef what he'd recommend, and he was keen to help; the gluten-free pizza she chose was delicious. My spare ribs were tasty too, though not as tender as I'd have liked. They gave us a bottle of raki before we left, which was generous. A filling meal for 10-20€.

We came back for dinner after six years. The staff and restaurant were nice. We started with Greek salad and garlic bread, then had fresh seabream, mixed grill and chicken rice. Everything was good, but the seabream really stood out.
