Solimar Turquoise Adults Only - All Inclusive

This was our third stay, and we’re already planning to come back again and again. It’s a lovely place to relax, and a perfect base for exploring the beautiful island of Crete. Everyone did their best to make the holiday great, from reception and room service to the restaurant waiters and bartenders. The staff were friendly and professional. The manager was especially attentive, checking how we were enjoying our stay and recommending trips.

We enjoyed our holiday overall, especially the tasty food and the bright, spacious rooms with air conditioning. Still, the price didn’t quite feel in line with the quality. Guests staying in another part of the building couldn’t use the sunbeds right by the beach unless they paid €8 a day for the paid ones. That didn’t seem fair to us, as all guests should be treated equally. We also missed having extra services like massages or a spa area. Our towels were changed every two days, but we could exchange beach towels only once during the whole stay. We didn’t feel that was enough.

The lunch and dinner were the best parts of the food, with a different cuisine featured each night, such as Mexican, Asian, or Greek, and some mouth-watering desserts. Breakfast was disappointing compared with other all-inclusive hotels I’ve experienced, though nobody would go hungry. The snacks and drinks could have been better quality too. We’d just spent eight days at the Turquoise. It was clean and quiet, with a cosy, atmospheric pool area. The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The manager was elegant and classy, as well as a real professional. She made everyone feel welcome and greeted us with what seemed like a genuine smile. The pool bar staff were lovely and did a wonderful job. Wi-Fi was stable and satisfactory around the pool and restaurant, but I don’t understand why it isn’t free in the rooms for all-inclusive guests. It’s a great place to stay.

The hotel’s strongest point is its service. The waiters, cooks, cleaners, and bar staff were all very friendly. Anastasia at reception deserves special thanks. She was always smiling, kind, and genuinely interested in whether guests were happy with their stay. Nektarios at the bar was great to chat with about all sorts of things, and he makes lovely drinks. Best wishes to everyone! We spent eight days here and thought the hotel was very good. It’s conveniently located in the town centre, close to the beach. The rooms were very clean and the food was tasty. The one thing that could be better is the weekly music evening: a gentleman played keyboard during dinner, which felt like a bit too little for a four-star hotel.
