Klio Hotel

For 60€/night for a double room, I’d tell people to book somewhere else. It was far too noisy and falsely advertised, more like a zero-star hostel than a three-star hotel. They had confirmed my request for a double bed, but on arrival we got two singles. I booked through booking com with 3-4 other couples for a social event, and we had a special group deal to include breakfast. At check-in, they refused to offer breakfast. They made me cancel the booking so they wouldn't pay commission, then used that money to let us eat at the neighboring beach bar. The breakfast was awful, just two eggs, some tomato, cheese, a couple olives, and coffee. The staff were far too rude, and most of them don't speak Greek. At 10:00 they kept trying to unlock our door and come in for housekeeping, even though we kept sending them away. The building feels like an 80s hotel left to rot. Strongly not recommended.

The beach and friendly staff are the best things here, and it’s good value for money. Finding the place on Google Maps by typing only its name can be quite an adventure. If you don’t know exactly where it is, you may end up on a sightseeing tour of the town 10 km away.

The rooms were comfortable, but they weren't clean. There was no remote for the TV, and one of the bathroom bulbs wasn't working. You also have to pay for the beach, and the sea was full of jellyfish.

There were bedbugs, and I got bitten all over my body. Be careful with the extra beds in three-bed rooms. We were in number 52.
