The apartments are a short walk up the hill from the small township and beautiful swimming beach. In my opinion, Philyra Apartments is an ideal base and Kythira's best area to stay. We spent five wonderful nights here and have just left. Eleni was a friendly, helpful host who looked after us so well. We made breakfast in the apartment each morning to save money, and bought fresh fruit from the lovely ladies at the local store. The mini market had other essentials, and the men there were helpful too.

I almost hesitate to leave such a good review, since more people might find Philyra and make it harder for us to get a booking next time! 😅 Eleni and her husband clearly care for the place, and that warmth comes through in the details. The rooms are lovely, clean and thoughtfully styled, with a beautiful view and hospitality that makes you feel at home. You arrive as a guest and leave feeling like a friend, already thinking about coming back. 💙

Eleni, thank you so much for everything. The hospitality was the best part of a vacation we won't forget, and you're one of the reasons we'll definitely return to your beautiful island. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, with a wonderful view, just like in the photos. The owner was a lovely person, always willing to help us with anything. We were completely satisfied with the accommodation, location and cleanliness. Highly recommend it, 5/5!
