Our small suite had all the space we needed, and the price was very reasonable. Sunday Life made the stay pleasant, with friendly, helpful staff who shared tips on what to see and do, and what to avoid. Their advice led us to parts of Crete we might otherwise have missed. The hotel sits on the hill beside Agia Palagia, about a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is unlimited and tasty, though the same menu every day got a little dull after a few mornings. The evening mezzes and full meals are much more varied, with a daily changing menu. The cook knows his way around the kitchen, and whatever you pick should be a treat. Get the moussaka if it’s on the menu!

Agia Pelagia is a lovely town, with a beautiful beach and a good choice of shops and restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. It also makes a handy base for exploring Crete by car. We arrived quite late but were welcomed so warmly. Our room was clean and well kept, and the staff were consistently kind and helpful.

The views were amazing, and the beach was no more than a 10-minute walk away. The hotel was clean, our room was ready even though we arrived early, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Its position between the island’s two largest cities made it a great base for exploring Crete, without the overly touristy feel. After seeing the whole island, I still wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else. 10/10, and I hope to return soon.

The room looks like the pictures, with modern furnishings, comfortable new beds and a contemporary three-piece bathroom with a walk-in shower. The view from the balcony is fantastic. There’s also a brand new Tesla air conditioning unit. You can watch the sunrise from the terrace in the morning. Since the room faces east, it warms up around 8-9, but it’s well ventilated because the property sits high up. By about 4 in the afternoon, the sun moves behind the building and the seaside balcony is lovely to sit on. The owner is friendly and quick to help with requests, like calling or booking a taxi. The room gets a daily tidy, the rubbish is taken out and the bed made. The towels are good, and there’s a new A+ fridge stocked with cold water, though it makes a faint noise at night. I didn’t use the kettle because it had limescale. Breakfast can be booked the night before, and lunch and dinner with typical dishes are available too. I had the tzaziki and it was very nice. The view is spectacular from up here, so a car is ideal. Without one, the walk to the restaurants takes 10-15 minutes, and it’s a bit dark at night. In general, it’s good!

The owners and staff made me feel safe and at ease when I arrived at night, after being stranded in Crete on my own. My friend was on a different island, and I was shaken up after the awful Mykonos ferry port drama and the sun, with sunstroke starting to set in. I hadn’t expected the view behind the curtains the next morning. It was stunning and so relaxing. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels while traveling around Greece, and this one exceeded all my expectations. In my opinion, it’s the best hotel in Greece. I 1000% recommend it, you will not, I repeat NOT regret it! My mum says thanks for keeping me safe lol 💗
