Villas Anemomilos

We held our wedding at the villa, and it was the perfect setting for our special day. The photos look incredible. We were a group of 15 there for two weeks, 2nd-16th August 2023, and had an amazing time. The villa is much bigger than the photos suggest, especially the stone villa at the back of the courtyard, which is practically a separate villa of its own. The apartments were clean, well kept, and self contained, with easy access between them. There was loads of room to eat together in the games room, outdoor spaces, and large room with the pizza oven and BBQ, while still giving people room to do their own thing. The owners were so friendly from the moment we arrived. They brought fresh tomatoes, olives, and bread daily, helped whenever something came up, fixed things, kept cleaning the pool, and worked around our preferred times for room cleaning. One night they even made enough delicious moussaka for everyone. It isn't the cheapest villa, but you get your money's worth. Agia Pelagia is about a 15 minute drive away, and beaches, restaurants, and supermarkets are all an easy 10-15 minutes away. The mountain roads are winding, but the views make the drive worthwhile. We'd definitely recommend it and hope to return.

We spent a week at villa anemomilos in September, and had our wedding there too. Andreas and his father were wonderful hosts, bringing fresh bread, eggs, tomato’s, and the most amazing croissants every day. There were 14 adults and 5 children, but the villa was clean, spacious, and gave us all room to ourselves. The views were exceptional, and watching the sunrise was beautiful. It takes about 10/15 minutes to drive to Agia Pelagia town, and around 30 minutes to Heraklion and the airport. Taxis were easy to arrange: just WhatsApp the number and they turn up. We had the most amazing wedding day. Thanks so much to Andreas and his father for having us. It truly was the best holiday we’ve had!

The owners were hospitable, helpful, and really nice. We spent our July 2021 summer holiday in the villas, which are luxurious and clean, with a superb pool area. The view was amazing, the whole Aegean at your feet! I'd recommend this without reservation for a quiet, quality holiday.

We'd definitely come back. The location is good, with a great view and the beach just a 10 minute drive away. Antreas and his father were caring and exceptionally responsive both before and during our stay, doing their best to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and all the apartments are well equipped. The main kitchen is a special bonus if you like cooking in different ways. The pools are great, though the water was a little cold in October ;) Wi-Fi was good.
