Alexandra Hotel

The rooms themselves were nice, and the location was good. There was nobody at reception apart from the cleaning lady, and the door needed to be closed at 16h. Towels and sheets are changed every three days, which seems less practical with beach sand and water getting everywhere. Water also comes out onto the floor when you shower. The cleaner spoke only Greek and communicated with us in that language, which we couldn't understand. She made the beds but didn't clean the floors; I found hair there when we arrived, had to ask her to clean it, and cleaned the toilet myself because it hadn't been properly done.

A simple hotel at a fair price, with an easy-to-reach location and a room that has A/C and daily cleaning. There's a good car rental place across the road, a mini market on the next block, and the main road by the beach is two blocks away, with cafes, snacks, gyros and breakfast. A car is recommended on the island.

The balcony was really pleasant, and breakfast can be ordered a day ahead for 7€ euros. It changes from one day to the next, which is a nice touch. PITA GRILL nearby serves tasty local food in enormous portions. The hotel is very clean, and the cleaning lady is lovely and tidies the rooms every day. The owners are very nice and helpful, too. The beach is close, though it's not especially beautiful, and the bus stop is 100m away, making trips to nearby cities easy. We could park free on the street and usually found a space nearby.

We had a basement room that stayed cool and had everything we needed, plus comfortable beds. The location was just right. From the moment we arrived until the last minute before leaving, everyone working there treated us amazingly. Our host was helpful and full of information, which made the time there even better. I'd definitely come back. Don't hesitate to book.
